What the Site Is
The Namingstone is a free online tool that generates fictional character names inspired by classic fantasy and tabletop roleplaying game traditions. The names are provided for your personal, non-commercial use in games, stories, and creative projects.
Use of Generated Names
Names produced by The Namingstone are yours to use freely in your own games, campaigns, stories, artwork, and creative works. You do not need to credit the Site, though we appreciate it when you do.
Because the generator draws from common fantasy naming conventions, names it produces may coincidentally match names found in published works, real people, or other creative media. We cannot guarantee that a generated name is unique or free of third-party rights. If you're using a name commercially, you are responsible for confirming that it doesn't infringe anyone else's trademarks or copyrights.
Acceptable Use
